Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 11, 2025
Governing law: State of Tennessee (USA)
This Privacy Policy explains how Volicious (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards personal information when you visit our website, make a purchase, or interact with us (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.
1) Who We Are & How to Contact Us
Volicious is a Cookeville, Tennessee–based brand.
Email: info@volicious.com
2) What We Collect (Categories of Data)
We collect information that you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
A. You provide:
Identifiers & Contact Info – name, email, phone, shipping/billing address.
Order Details – items purchased, preferences, gift messages.
Account & Support – login credentials (hashed), messages to support, reviews.
B. Collected automatically:
Device/Usage Data – IP address, device type, browser, pages viewed, referring pages, timestamps, approximate location.
Cookies/Tags/Pixels – to remember your cart, enable checkout, analyze site usage, and deliver/measure ads.
C. From third parties:
Payment Processors – limited payment details (tokenized results, success/failure). We do not store full card numbers.
Marketing/Analytics Partners – aggregated insights (e.g., ad performance, campaign attribution).
3) Why We Use Your Information (Purposes)
Purchase & Fulfillment – process orders, payments, shipping, returns.
Account & Customer Support – manage your account, respond to requests.
Safety & Compliance – fraud prevention, security, legal obligations, enforce terms.
Site Performance & Analytics – understand usage, improve the site, debug errors.
Marketing & Personalization – send updates (with your consent where required), show relevant offers, measure advertising.
4) Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies, web beacons, and pixels to:
-
keep items in your cart and remember preferences,
-
analyze traffic (e.g., Google Analytics),
-
run and measure ads (e.g., Meta Pixel, Google Ads).
Your choices: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Advertising choices may also be managed via platform settings and industry tools (e.g., browser-based global privacy signals where required by law).
5) How We Share Information
We share personal information with:
Service Providers / Processors – e.g., payment, hosting, shipping, email/SMS, analytics, security, ad-tech—only what’s needed to provide their services under contract.
Business Transfers – in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Legal/Safety – to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some states treat certain advertising/analytics as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; see Section 10 for state privacy rights and opt-out choices.
6) Payment Information
Payments are processed by third-party processors. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (e.g., last 4 digits, card type) but do not store full card numbers or CVV.
7) How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax/accounting), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, then delete or de-identify it per our retention practices.
9) Your Choices
Marketing Emails/SMS: You can unsubscribe via the link in any email or by replying “STOP” to SMS. Transactional messages (e.g., order updates) may still be sent.
Cookies/Tracking: Use your browser tools to control cookies. Some features may not work if cookies are disabled.
Ad Preferences: You can adjust preferences in Google, Meta, and other platforms you use. We also recognize certain browser-based Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law.
10) State Privacy Rights (U.S.)
Depending on your state (e.g., CA, CO, CT, VA, UT, TN’s TIPA if applicable), and thresholds that apply to businesses, you may have rights to:
Know/Access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected.
Delete personal information, subject to exceptions.
Correct inaccuracies.
Opt-Out of certain processing deemed “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising.
Non-Discrimination for exercising your rights.
How to exercise: Email info@volicious.com
with “Privacy Request” and specify your request and state of residence. We will verify your identity and respond as required by law. If your state requires a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link and it applies to us, you may use that link (where provided) or contact us to opt out of targeted advertising/analytics that may be considered “selling” or “sharing.” If we deny your request, certain states allow you to appeal—instructions will be included in our response.
Tennessee Notice: The Tennessee Information Protection Act (TIPA) grants consumer rights to residents where the law applies to a business based on statutory thresholds. If/when TIPA applies to us, we will honor those rights.
11) Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us to request deletion.
12) International Visitors
We are U.S.–based. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your data may be processed in the U.S. and other countries, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
13) Third-Party Sites & Services
The Services may link to third-party websites or integrate third-party features (e.g., payment, shipping, analytics, advertising). This Policy does not cover third-party practices. Review those providers’ privacy notices for details.
14) Do Not Track
Some browsers offer Do Not Track (DNT) signals. Because there is no consistent industry standard for DNT, we do not respond to DNT. We do, however, recognize GPC where required by applicable law.
15) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above shows when changes took effect. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use means you accept the updated Policy.
